Simple Tips For Wrapping The Perfect Present

Giving someone a present is a gesture of love and it shows how thankful you are. Giving presents is a good way to show your sincerity, affection, and appreciation. Not only presents, but the ways you wrap them also show how much you care about the person.

Although it is a tough task to choose a present for your loved one, wrapping it nicely is another hectic task. It becomes even more difficult as some tools are expensive and it takes a lot of time to wrap a gift if you do not do so often.

But if you know some tricks and practice them often you can be a pro at wrapping presents. Here are some of the tips that you can try to wrap presents. These tips will be very helpful to you.

Choose A Workplace & Make It Good For Use

After deciding to wrap a present, choose a workplace. It should be large and smooth. You can consider a big dining room table.  After you have found a place to work, assemble your supplies. You will require scissors, tape, wrapping paper and most importantly presents you want to wrap. Make sure that the surface of your workplace is clean so that it does not ruin your wrapping paper. Also, wash your hands and then get started.

Don’t Buy Poor Quality Boxes Or Paper

You cannot wrap your present flawlessly if you have poor boxes or paper. A sturdy box can give you a strong base for the best presentation. You may want to buy the cheap one but it is not going to work for you. If the paper is thin it will rip off, if it is hard it will be difficult to handle. Medium grade paper works best.

    Do Some Practice

As it is said that practice makes a man perfect. The same is the case with gift wrapping. Before trying it on the final wrapping paper try it on regular paper. This will prove helpful in wrapping your present perfectly.

Take The Right Measurements Of The Paper

When you have found the right box for your present, now is the time to cover this box with the wrapping paper. Take good measurements of the paper. It should be large enough to cover the whole gift box. Pull the paper tight for giving your present a perfectly clean look. For fixing wrapping the paper on the box use transparent scotch tape.

    Colorful Ribbons

    Ribbons & Bows

It is all about colorful ribbons and bows. Your present looks even more attractive with these ribbons. You have to take a ribbon of the right measurement to make an exceptional bow. Readymade bows are also available in the market; you can try them too. But if you are making it yourself with ribbon, make it tight. Loose bows fall off from the present easily and do not look good. There are several ways to tie a bow but I would suggest you go with a smile ol’ bow. Do not cut the ribbon from the roll until the bow is done. After it is done Cut the ends of the Bow ribbon in ‘V’ shape.

    Recycle Old Wrapping Papers

It seems fun to try new colorful wrapping papers, but if you already have some at your home, it is a waste of money. Do not underestimate supplies you already have at your home they can prove useful. Old fabrics, magazines, calendars, and newspapers can prove excellent wrapping papers. You can also use pieces of old wrapping papers creatively to wrap your presents.

    Make Your Presents Special

Once you are done with basics, do something extra to make your presents look amazing. Use name tags and fix them at the bottom of the present or tie them with ribbon. You can also decorate your wrapped present with colorful buttons, beads, strings and other ornaments.

    Wrapping Cylinders

You can wrap cylinders in two different ways. One way to scrunch the wrapping paper at both ends giving your present a candy look. You can tape ribbons at both ends to make it look good. Another way is to do pleating and it is very easy to do.

    Try Different Shapes

Wrapping a present is very easy if it fits in a box-shaped box. What if it is not box-shaped, don’t worry, and try other different shapes to wrap your present. You can wrap a gift the way it looks like but if you like to camouflage your gift be creative with wrapping paper. If you do not want to play with the wrapping paper buy a gift bag or a larger box in which you can put it easily.

    Conclusion

Giving presents to your loved ones is a lovely gesture, but wrapping them creatively shows your care towards the person. Follow these tips and wrap your presents amazingly.
